Important Notice to Institutions outside Kanehsatà:ke and serving Mohawk students. This is important for parents as well, for students attending schools outside of Kanehsatà:ke.

It is once again time to fill out the application for Educational Assistance for the next school year, 2010– 2011. To be eligible for elementary and secondary funding assistance, your child/children must:

- Be a Band Member of the Mohawks of Kanehsatà:ke;
- Be listed on the Membership List as a resident of Kanehsatà:ke;
- Be attending any provincial school, or special placement educational institutions in Quebec; (students attending Primary-level community Band schools receive their supplies directly from the school);
- Be attending school full-time in nursery to Secondary V.

Guidelines for funding: Elementary / Secondary
- School Tuition: The Education Center will pay for tuition fees (subject to approval) as set by MELS.
- Any other fees are the parents/guardians responsibility.
- Psychological-Educational Assessments: The Education Center will not be responsible for any services or assessments recommended by the outside Public and Private schools.
- Summer School for Secondary School Students is subject to approval by; Indian and Northern Affairs Canada.
The Kanehsatà:ke Education Center offers services to improve your child/children educational success by providing additional academic support. When recommended by the school or subject teacher, the Education Center can provide:
- Academic assessments in French or English;
- Full psycho-educational assessments in French or English to assist in identifying students who may have Special Needs;
- Assistance in choosing a cegep and programs of study;
- Information on deadlines to apply for funding assistance for the primary and secondary levels.
